A Little About Us

Etopia Custom are a division of the national house builder Etopia, who enable developers to build modern, energy efficient homes with ease.

Etopia Custom have been working hand in hand with Etopia, producing exciting sustainable projects in the UK, North America, the Middle East, and Africa. They also collaborate on a test house at BRE Watford which is pushing the boundaries of eco-home performance.

Lee Mcardle

Lee Mcardle
Managing Director

Lee has been managing and advising custom and self-build projects for over 20 years and has over 30 years experience in the construction industry, in which he has built in Saudi Arabia, Namibia, Sweden, and the USA.
Mike Mapston

Mike Mapston
Head of Technical

Mike has 38 years in the off-site industry. He is a specialist in system design, materials development, technical writing, and academic research. He is also a specialist in air and moisture movement and internal environmental health.
Paul Long

Paul Long
Head of Operations

Paul has over 30 years in the off-site and timber industries with much of that time spent in the self/custom build sector. Paul`s priorities are always personal service, performance, and quality, with every project treated as if it was his own.

Production Capabilities

A manufacturing facility dedicated to precision, craft and efficiency.

Located on the outskirts of Tiverton in the heart of Mid Devon, with all the facilities to enable the production of both the patented 4Wall panels and closed cell timber frames, the continued investment will enable Custom to keep producing high-end homes for the self-build industry. The factory is available to view on request if curiosity gets you.
